This English rosé is produced from 100% Gamay grapes, a variety rarely grown in the UK, offering a distinctive expression of English winemaking. The wine shows vibrant aromatics and a clear, defined fruit profile. Partial fermentation takes place in old fortified wine barrels sourced from Portugal, introducing an additional layer of texture and subtle depth.
The palate presents precise red fruit notes, including strawberry, raspberry and a hint of cherry, supported by gentle minerality and balanced acidity. The influence of the barrels provides a refined structure that complements the wine’s clarity and focus. This release highlights the character of the Gamay grape and the detailed approach taken throughout production, resulting in a carefully crafted English rosé with a clean, persistent finish.
