An incredibly vigorous vineyard, with great soil fertility and a rich, chalk terroir; allowing roots to grow deep and access nutrients and moisture year-round.Paired with sunlit, south-facing slopes and good aeration, Cobham House is not a question of yield but of consistent, high - quality fruit.
Vinescapes - Rob Poyser
Cobham House was born from a family dream that began over 35 years ago. Captivated and inspired by our time living in Seine-et-Marne, the idea of a family vineyard was never too far from our minds. In 2021, four generations of our family came together to turn this dream into a reality, in our own home county of Kent.
Situated on one of the most vibrant sites inThe North Kent Downs, our team is devoted to the meticulous care of our vines, our chalk-rich soils and to the natural beauty that surrounds us. Our focus is on long-term sustainability and soil health, to ensure every harvest is a true testament to our incredible terroir.
As the only racially diverse vineyard in Kent, our vision stretches beyond our wine. Through recruitment, internships and scholarships at Plumpton College – we are committed to driving racial diversity within English agriculture and English wine. Creating meaningful opportunities for underrepresented minorities.
