VOLUNTEERING
This summer, we are opening Cobham House Vineyard to the public for three special volunteering days.
These days are a chance to get hands-on in the vineyard, learn more about English wine production, and help our team with some of the key summer jobs that keep our vines in great shape ahead of harvest.
Throughout the day, our team will guide you through seasonal vineyard tasks. This may include leaf stripping, where we carefully remove leaves from around the young grape bunches to allow sunlight to reach and ripen them, and tucking in, a delicate but important job where we train the vines back behind the trellis as they grow with all the energy of the summer sunshine.
Later in the year, we will also be inviting volunteers to join us for harvest — the most exciting time in the vineyard calendar. This is when we finally see the fruits of our labour and all the hard work of the year comes together.
To take part in harvest volunteering, you must have attended at least one of our summer volunteering days.
